A proclaimed offender attempted to commit suicide in a police lock-up of the Airport Police Station.
Baber Usman, a proclaimed offender, who in a police lock-up for investigation in a murder case, allegedly smashed glass of a window and thrust up his neck with a broken glass piece.
The glass piercing led to profuse bleeding and he was rushed the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment where doctors said his condition was out of danger.
The police have registered another case against the suspect for attempting to commit suicide.
