Maruti Suzuki dealers have started accepting bookings for the upcoming Vitara Brezza. The yet-to-be-launched SUV can be booked for a token amount of Rs 21,000 at a Maruti Suzuki dealership.
This amount is refundable and will be fully refunded to the prospective buyer if he doesn’t want to finalise his order after the launch. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is only expected to be launched officially in March when the exact variant-wise pricing will also be available. It might be priced in the range of Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.2 lakh when launched for the Indian market.
The Vitara Brezza is a compact SUV that made its first public appearance at the 2016 Auto Expo recently. It is the first vehicle to be conceived, designed, developed and validated completely in India by Maruti in-house R&D team led by Chief Engineer CV Raman. The powertrains will include the petrol and diesel variants, with a diesel 200 DDis mill to be offered at the beginning. This engine churns out 88.5bhp of power and 200Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The new compact SUV will be offered in six variants – LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, and ZDi+, the top-of-the-line variant being equipped with all the features. The Vitara Brezza will compete directly with the Ford EcoSport while also going up against the Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta.
