There’s perhaps nothing more endearing on the red carpet than seeing an actress work hard to showcase a dress she’s wearing for the night. Case in point: an Erdem-clad Lily James, who twirled, laughed, stretched her neck and sucked in her cheeks for the cameras at the London premiere of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.”

And James wasn’t the only one who had fun on the red carpet this week; Penelope Cruz, dressed in a body-hugging white Versace dress, gave her best “Blue Steel” alongside Ben Stiller at the Madrid premiere of “Zoolander 2.” Her co-star Kristen Wiig opted for a straight, multicolored, grid-print Rosie Assoulin dress that, while less dramatic, was anything but boring. (And thankfully, nothing like the crazy outfits we’ve been seeing on Alexanya Atoz.) Last but not least, model Jourdan Dunn, in her baby blue Ralph & Russo petal bustier dress, stood out amongst a sea of metallic-wearing attendees at the London premiere of the film.

But out of everyone we saw this week, no one stole our hearts quite like Amal Clooney, who stopped by the LA premiere of “Hail, Caesar!” in a custom floral appliqué Giambattista Valli dress. She completed the look with metallic silver Dior heels and human accessory George Clooney.
