After a wobbly economic year, the automobile industry is set to get back on track with these new car launches in 2020. With all the three options of Petrol, Diesel and Electric receiving some love here are the five cars launching in January 2020.
- Tata Altroz
To be launched on the 22nd of January Tata Altroz will receive two new powertrain options which will be BS6 compliant. Unlike other companies, Tata is not shy to launch a diesel BS6 option right off the bat and this move might attract people looking to nab a diesel BS6 car. Bookings are already open and it costs 21,000 INR to book one for yourself. It will cost 5.50 lakh- 8.50 lakhs ex-showroom
- MG ZS EV
The electric car MG ZS EV will be launching at the end of January. Bookings are currently ongoing in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and costs ₹ 50,000. It will have a powerful motor and a 44.5 kWh giving it a range of 340 km. MG ZS EV recently passed the Euro NCAP test with flying colours scoring a full 5 stars. The vehicle will be around 20 Lakhs ex-showroom. This new car in 2020 will be a challenge to some run of the mill BS6 cars.
- Tata Nexon EV
The next on the Electric car comes this month, Tata Nexon EV will be launching in the month of January expectedly at the end of the month. With a range of 300 km and a 30.2 kWh battery, it will be a good intercity car. Bookings are already open for the amount of ₹ 21,000. The current Tata Nexon scored a 5 star in Global NCAP the only Indian made car to do so and the EV variant is expected to hold the same standards.
- Audi Q8
The premium carmaker Audi will be bringing Q8 in India to add another car into its already decked SUV portfolio. With a 3.0 L TFSI engine, it will produce 335 hp and 369Nm of rotatory force. Its also getting some cosmetic features like the single-frame octagonal grille, 22-inch wheels to name a couple. This new car in 2020 will cost ₹ 1 crore ex-showroom.
- Hyundai Aura
Maruti Dzire rival, Hyundai Aura will be launching on January 21st. It will have 12 variants eight petrol and four diesel and will be BS6 compliant. With booking underway for ₹ 10,000, this new car of 2020 will be available for 5.50 lakh to 9 lakh ex-showroom.
