-New premium SUV from Tata
-Showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as the H5X concept
-Will be launched in January
Tata has released yet another teaser for its Harrier SUV but this time around it’s a big one as they have showcased the dashboard. The dashboard stays pretty close to the H5X concept as you get a dual tone layout of brown and black with the former being wood inserts. The inserts are complemented by a chrome outline that’s also present on the infotainment screen.
The Harrier will be the first car in this part of the market to get dual digital displays as a part of its package. However, we expect that this will be an option only on the top spec models and that the lower spec ones will get standard analogue setup.
We already know that it is going to be offered with a JBL surround system, cooled armrest storage space and multiple drive modes. We also know that the Harrier will start its innings with a 2.0-litre diesel mated to a six-speed manual.
The Harrier will be Tata’s rival for the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass as well as future models from Kia (based on the SP concept) and MG Motor. Both these manufacturers will enter India in 2019.
