Swipe Telecom has launched a new budget 4G smartphone with VoLTE support in India. Priced at Rs. 2,799, the Swipe Konnect 4G is exclusively available via ShopClues in a Black colour variant. Notably, the listing quotes an MRP of Rs. 3,999.
The dual-SIM Swipe Konnect 4G runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and sports a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor that’s coupled with 512MB of RAM.
The Swipe Konnect 4G sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash apart from a 1.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options on board, apart from 4G (2300MHz Band 40), include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
The Konnect 4G bears an accelerometer and proximity sensor. It sports a 2000mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, and up to 150 hours of standby time. It weighs in at 119 grams.
Swipe earlier this month launched another budget 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone – the Swipe Elite Star – priced at Rs. 3,333. Available exclusively from Flipkart, the smartphone sports a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor that’s coupled with 1GB of RAM. It bears 8GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Back in October, the company launched the Swipe Elite 2 Plus smartphone, offering 4G VoLTE support at under Rs. 5,000 – Rs. 4,444 to be precise. It features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display, a 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830A processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
