American car maker Ford has launched the latest version of the EcoSport at prices starting from INR 6.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This was the vehicle that created the buzz around the compact, sub 4 metre body style in India a few years ago and now, we have a new version of it.
This new Ford EcoSport remains visually similar to its predecessor for the most apart, apart from headlight clusters with LED daytime running lights incorporated into them and a new exterior paint colour called Golden Bronze. However, under the bonnet of this car, the existing 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine has been tweaked to produce a higher power output of 99 bhp instead of the 89 bhp it used to deliver in the outgoing model. The torque figure of this motor now stands at 215 Nm and it returns 22.27 kpl.
