Micromax has introduced a new smartphone – the Canvas Amaze 4G. The smartphone is currently listed on the company site and has a sign-up page for interested consumers. We can expect the Micromax Canvas Amaze 4G to soon be available in India.
The dual-SIM Canvas Amaze 4G runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new Micromax smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM.
Sporting an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera, the Canvas Amaze 4G also sports a 2-megapixel front-facing fixed-focus camera. It bears 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (32GB). Connectivity options include 4G, 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The company says that the Canvas Amaze 4G supports Cat. 4 which allows up to 150Mbps download speed and up to 50Mbps upload speed. The Canvas Amaze 4G is backed by a 2230mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 160 hours of standby time, and up to 7 hours of talk-time. It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
The domestic handset manufacturer earlier this month introduced the 4G-enabled Canvas Juice 4G (Q461) smartphone. The smartphone was listed on the company site without pricing or availability details.
The Micromax Canvas Juice 4G is an upgraded version of the Canvas Juice 4. The handset in addition supports 4G LTE, unlike the Canvas Juice 4 which is limited to 3G connectivity. Micromax lists that the Canvas Juice 4G supports up to 50Mbps upload speed and up to 150Mbps download speed.
