People have the reliability and familiarity of a Bajaj Pulsar in almost every major segment. This naked Pulsar 250 is capable enough of taking on the KTM Duke 250 which is much more powerful and performance-oriented. Let us check out the race here.
KTM Duke 250 vs Bajaj Pulsar N250 – Drag Race
The video has been made and uploaded by a famous YouTuber who keeps performing drag races between various popular bikes regularly. Before the video, the YouTuber clearly mentions that the Duke 250 is clearly more powerful and significantly more expensive than the Pulsar N250. In the first attempt, both the bikes launch quite aggressively and stay together for the initial few seconds. However, just after some distance, the Duke accelerates like anything and the Pulsar is never able to catch it again. In the second attempt, the YouTuber changed the riders to ensure consistency of the results. However, it didn’t alter the results. Once the Duke goes past the Pulsar, it stays ahead and keeps creating more gap. During these attempts, the Duke was able to achieve a top speed of around 149 km/h, while the Pulsar managed to hit around 146 km/h.
The KTM Duke 250 comes with a 248.8-cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 30 PS and 24 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. It costs Rs 2.29 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 comes with a 249.07-cc air- and oil-cooled engine that outputs 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The price of the Pulsar N250 is Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom.
The difference in the prices of the two bikes is around Rs 90,000. This clearly translates into performance as well which is seen in the video. By virtue of this drag race between KTM Duke 250 and Bajaj Pulsar N250, we must also urge our readers to not try such stunts on your own, especially on the highways. Road safety must never be compromised.
