Karbonn has launched four new 4G smartphones in India – the Aura Note 4G, K9 Smart 4G, Titanium Vista 4G, and K9 Viraat 4G. While the last three are 4G variants of smartphones the company had launched earlier, the first is an entirely new offering. The Aura Note 4G and Titanium Vista 4G have been priced by the company at Rs. 6,490 and Rs. 5,090 while K9 Smart 4G and K9 Viraat 4G are available for Rs. 5,090 and Rs. 5,790 respectively.
The company says that it is targeting entry-level users with the 4G variants of its earlier phones. “Targeted at entry level users, Karbonn’s 4G enabled range has been especially developed to suit the varied digital and language proficiency of the country’s diverse consumer spectrum. With an aim to connect the next billion customers under the smartphone telephony fold, the range aims to simplify the 4G experience of the user to facilitate easy adoption,” the company said in its release.
The Karbonn Aura Note 4G runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the phone packs an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera at front for taking selfies. The phone houses a 2800mAh battery and has a fingerprint scanner at its back.
The Karbonn K9 Smart 4G packs a FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display that comes with glass that has been termed as “unbreakable” by the company. “K9 Smart 4G comes integrated with Indus OS for facilitate local language search, text to speech options and free messaging amongst Indus users,” the company said in its release. Further, the phone has been provided with native dialler integration of FreeCharge for quick payments in a single tap. K9 Smart 4G is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It packs a 5-megapixel camera at the rear as well as at the front of the device. It is available in Black and Grey with Sandstone Black finish colour variants.
The Karbonn Titanium Vista 4G comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6737 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera at the front. It bears 8GB of inbuilt storage. It is available in Champagne White and Black colour variants.
“To enrich the smartphone experience the device offers an array of curated information and entertainment content in collaboration with top content providers including Saavn, Voot and Dailyhunt,” the company said in its release.
The Karbonn K9 Viraat 4G comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6737 SoC. In terms of optics, the phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies. It houses a 2800mAh battery and is available in White Champagne and Black colour variants.
