Following its launch of the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM on Friday, HTC has dropped the price by Rs. 1,000 on Tuesday. The smartphone, which was launched Rs. 14,990, will now be available at Rs. 13,990.
As before, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM will be in Blue Lagoon and White Birch colour variants with major retailers in the coming weeks. The Taiwanese smartphone maker on Tuesday also dropped the price of the HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM in India, by the same amount – Rs. 1,000. Launched at Rs. 17,990 in January, the Desire 728 Dual SIM is now available at Rs. 16,990.
To recall, the dual-SIM (Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM) supporting HTC Desire 626 comes with HTC Sense UI on top of Android. While the company has not detailed the Android version (or for that matter, the Sense UI version), we can expect the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor that’s coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The Desire 626 Dual SIM bears 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 28mm lens, and LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera with a BSI sensor. The rear camera features scene detection, panaroma, geo-tagging, best shot, smile shot, and HDR options.
Apart from 4G LTE, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, DLNA, GLONASS, and FM radio connectivity options. It is powered by a 2000mAh battery and includes accelerometer, ambient light, and magnetic sensor. The Desire 626 Dual SIM measures 146.9×70.9×8.19mm and weighs 135 grams. The connectivity options included are Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB 2.0, and GPS.
