After all these years, you might be a little tired of hearing us harp on and on about how great Diane Kruger is. We get that. To be fair, we probably do write about her sartorial moments more than any other celebrity’s for no other reason than she wears amazing stuff (and she wears that amazing stuff really, really well). At the 2016 amfAR New York Gala on Wednesday evening, the actress continued her ongoing best-dressed streak in a stoney blue silk Prada gown with lots of fun embellishments. We’re talking feathers, beads and shimmery crystal accents, with a pleated skirt, low scoop back and just a hint of side-boob. In all: a Very Good Dress.
While such accents could, potentially, come off as kitschy — childish, even — they’re innately Prada: ultra-playful ornaments are a part of the brand’s DNA. And with a tousled up-do situation paired with a coordinating clutch, Kruger looks impossibly chic — but what else would we expect from her, guys?
We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that the event’s other attendees looked killer, because they did!
