Coolpad has sent out invites for the launch of two smartphones, the Coolpad Note 3S and Coolpad Mega 3, in India. The company is set to launch the two smartphones in the country on Wednesday, and availability and pricing details will be known then.
The Coolpad Note 3S is set to be the successor of the Note 3 smartphone launched last year in October. Coolpad has also launched the Coolpad Note 3 Lite and Coolpad Note 3 Plus variants of the smartphone during the course of this year as well. The Coolpad Mega 3 will be the successor of the Coolpad Mega 2.5D (Review) launched just a few months ago in August. Both the smartphones are expected to be priced under Rs. 10,000, and given that most of Coolpad phones have been Amazon India exclusive, we expect Note 3S and Mega 3 to follow the same path.
In the sub-Rs. 10,000 range, the new Coolpad Note 3S and Coolpad Mega 3 will face competition from the likes of LeEco Le 1s Eco, Lenovo K4 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and Samsung Galaxy On7.
With these new additions, Coolpad is set to enter the crowded low-budgeted market, and it remains to be seen what the company offers to introduce tough competition. For now, both Coolpad Note 3S and Coolpad Mega 3 are expected to feature a 5.5-inch display screen, and come with dual-SIM and 4G VoLTE support.
The last smartphone released by Coolpad in India was the Note 5 smartphone with a massive 4010mAh battery and 4G VoLTE support. It is priced at Rs. 10,999 and is available exclusively on Amazon India as well. The big highlight on the Coolpad Note 5 is touted to be the Dual Space system that was first seen on the Coolpad Max. It enables users to have two accounts of WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and other apps on the same phone.
