These and many other insights are from the CareerBuilder and Economic Modeling Specialists Intl. (EMSI) study to find the hottest in-demand jobs for 2016 released this week. The analysis uses EMSI’s extensive labor market database, which pulls from over 90 national and state employment resources. CareerBuilder and EMSI looked at the average number of people hired per month in more than 700 occupations from January 2015 to September 2015 and compared that to the number of job postings for each occupation (aggregated from online job sites for the same period).
Key takeaways from their analysis include the following:IT-related jobs are 28% of all average monthly unique job postings, making this industry the second most in-demand group of professions in the 19 hottest jobs of 2016. They are defined as follows with the percent of unique job postings in a given month shown; healthcare (39%), IT (28%), finance-related positions (13%), marketing & sales (12%), engineering (6%), and human resource managers (2%).
