Asus ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Zoom Receiving Android Marshmallow Update

Asus back in February promised it’s going to release Android Marshmallow Update to a fixed of ZenFone smartphones in its line-up beginning April. The Taiwanese enterprise has now started out rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Replace for the Asus ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL) and Asus ZenFone Zoom (ZX551KL).

Closing month, the organization released the Marshmallow Replace for the ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Max smartphones.

Asus announced the Update via its ZenTalk discussion board and confirms that ZenFone Selfie (seen above) and ZenFone Zoom users will need to download the firmware manually from the legit website. Apart from upgrading to the Android 6.zero Marshmallow, the Replace additionally provides new functions which includes Google Calendar, Google Messenger, Motion Gesture. The Digicam app gets new Pano Sphere mode. The ZenFone Zoom, after the Replace, will come with preloaded apps including Fb, Messenger, and Instagram.

Some apps on the way to no longer be preloaded as soon as ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Zoom (visible above) device were upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow are Asus Backup, Google Play Books, Google Play Games, Google Play Newsstand, Google+, Replicate, Remote Link, Computer Link, Photo Frame, What is Next, and Snap View, and ZenFlash (which may be downloaded from Google Play)

Asus adds that Marshmallow Replace will do away with A few apps from the ZenFone Selfie including Asus Electronic mail, Asus Calendar, Asus Messaging, Asus Browser, and Asus Music after manufacturing facility reset. The business enterprise recommend customers to switch to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Messenger, Chrome, and Google Play Music for relevant offerings.

The employer however warns users that Android Marshmallow may not support transfer of apps to microSD card. “Please move apps to inner garage earlier than system improvements,” notes Asus.
