Asus ZenFone Selfie Variant With Diamond Cut Back, 3GB RAM Launched at Rs. 12,999

Asus has just launched another variant of the ZenFone Selfie smartphone in India. The new 3GB RAM and 16GB storage variant comes with a new Diamond Cut rear panel design, and a reduced price tag of Rs. 12,999. This variant is currently available only on Amazon India, and retail outlets will start stocking it up September onwards.

The Asus ZenFone Selfie was launched back in September for a price starting at Rs. 15,999. It was launched in two RAM/storage bundle options – 2GB of RAM/ 16GB of inbuilt storage, and 3GB of RAM/ 32GB of storage – priced at Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 17,999 respectively. With this variant, Asus has reduced the price of the smartphone to Rs. 12,999, and has also pushed in some new iterations. The biggest change is the Diamond Cut design back panel and different colour options like – Glacier Gray, Sheer Gold, Polygon-Illusion Diamond White, Illusion Polygon Blue, and Illusion Smooth Pink. Furthermore, the new 3GB of RAM/ 16GB of storage variant also sees a bump in the expandable storage limit up to 128GB, from 64GB.

Apart from these, all the other specifications of this new Asus ZenFone Selfie variant remain the same. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display; and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (1.7GHz quad-core and 1GHz quad-core) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. The ZenFone Selfie sports 13-megapixel rear and front cameras, a highlight of the device at this price point, with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm focal length, and dual-colour Real Tone flash. The rear camera features a laser autofocus module in addition.

It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the ZenUI skin on top, and packs a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac; WiFi-Direct, and GPS support. The Asus ZenFone Selfie measures 156.5×77.2×10.8mm, and it weighs 170 grams.
