Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified auto shows that Volvo has bypassed.
Jaguar Land Rover says it will skip the Detroit auto show in January to concentrate on other international shows.
“Following a review of our global consumer engagement program, the decision has been made not to exhibit at the Detroit Show in 2016,” the company said in a statement. “We continue to participate in, and sharpen our focus on, a large number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 motor shows.”
Longer range, Jaguar Land Rover will attend the New York, Los Angeles, Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris, Beijing and Shanghai shows, the company said.
Volvo Cars also has opted to skip some auto shows, including Frankfurt and Paris. The Swedish brand will be at the Detroit auto show.
