Review of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Best ADV Under 500 cc?

The motorcycle review that all of you have been waiting for, as well as the one that I have been eagerly anticipating to ride, is finally here, after endless teasing and tempting! We are finally spending some time with the all-new KTM 390 Adventure and our test location was the beautiful state of Goa, which was uniquely suited to test the motorcycle. The design, electronics, and suspension of the new model have all been significantly improved, making it better suited for rugged trails and touring. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or someone looking to explore beyond the tarmac, the new 390 Adventure promises to deliver an exciting experience, especially with the versatility it brings in.

Starting with the design, this is without a doubt the most visually appealing ADV under 500 cc. It appears muscular, purpose-built, and lean. The front end, which gives you the impression that the ADV has a rally tower, and the overall styling, which is as close as it is possible to an actual rally-raid motorcycle, are the two aspects of this motorcycle that I really enjoy about it. This motorcycle’s presence on the road is undeniable. The PP body panels, which also offer excellent quality and are better resistant to falls, scratches, and dings, are also included. The bash plate and crash guard are included in the standard equipment. And well, the ergonomics are like that of a typical ADV. The seat is 830 mm high, making you sit tall. As a point of comparison, the RE Himalayan 450 has a seat height of 825 mm, making it not particularly tall. You can ride the bike for long periods of time, sit up straight, and the rider triangle is comfortable. Furthermore, with a ground clearance of 237 millimeters, you won’t have to worry about navigating road bumps.
