The 10th edition of the DNA Auto Show kicked off on a big note on Saturday at Vashi’s Cidco Exhibition Centre. Thousands of people thronged the venue on day one.
With a grand line-up of automobiles from some of the most prominent manufacturers in the market, the auto show is worth a visit for car aficionados across Mumbai.
Car brands like BMW, Audi, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Skoda, Nissan, Ford, and Volkswagen have a number of models on display at the expo.
One of the highlights that impressed visitors was the series of innovations by students from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). Team Motorbreath from VJTI displayed BAJA SAEINDIA 2017 which they designed, fabricated and tested an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) capable of traversing over a variety of rough terrains.
A student from VJTI, said, “Such type of events provide us an opportunity to showcase our prototype and get acknowledged.” He added that apart from showcasing our innovation, it is also equally true that we see our dream brands come together on one platform. “It is more of a learning experience to make the best of, irrespective of one’s age, if they are automobile lover,” he added.
Malini Shah, a resident of Vashi who visited the expo on day one, said: “The line-up of cars is impressive. Apart from budget, there are luxury cars and new launch.” She added that the organisers have also chosen an apt venue as the space is huge and it is close to the (railway) station.
