Tata Motors is slowly increasing its market share in India by launching new models, such as the Tiago, Nexon and the Hexa. In the next few months, Tata will launch a few more cars. Here are the upcoming Tata cars that will be launched in the Indian market soon.

Tata Tiago JTP

Expected launch time: August 2018

Tata showcased the Tiago JTP at the 2018 Auto Expo. The car looked production-ready, and currently the hot hatchback is being tested by the company in various terrains. The Tiago JTP will become the most affordable hot hatchback in India, and will carry a sticker price of around Rs. 6 lakhs.

The car will get a new front bumper and rear bumper insert that will give it an aggressive look and differentiate it from the regular variant. It will be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Nexon. However, the engine will be re-tuned to churn out a maximum of 108 Bhp and 150 Nm. It will only get a manual transmission so the fun factor would be there.

Tata Tigor JTP

Expected launch time: End 2018

The Tigor JTP was also showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and will be the first hot sedan from the brand. Just like the Tiago JTP, the performance version of the Tigor will become the most affordable performance-oriented sedan in India.

It will also carry changes like new front bumpers and a rear bumper insert. We can expect Tata to put highlights on parts like ORVMs and a roof to give it a more aggressive look. The 1.2-litre three-pot turbo-petrol engine will be same as the Tiago JTP and will churn out a similar 108 Bhp and 150 Nm.

Tata H5X

Expected launch time: Early 2019

The Tata H5X was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo as a concept model. The SUV will reportedly be named as Harrier but Tata is yet to confirm the name. The production of the H5X is expected to start by the end of this year and the launch will happen early next year.

The H5X is the first Tata-branded vehicle that will utilise the Land Rover platform and as per Tata, the production version will be 80% similar to the concept model. The H5X that will take on vehicles, such as the Hyundai Creta, will be powered by a 2.0-litre multijet diesel engine that is available with the Jeep Compass in India.

Tata 45X

Expected launch time: End 2019

Tata’s Tiago hatchback is doing very well, and soon Tata will launch a premium hatchback. Tata showcased the 45X concept at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year.  The Tiago will take on cars, such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and the upcoming new Honda Jazz.

Details about the vehicle are still scarce but Tata is expected to power the premium hatchback with the more powerful version of the Tiago’s diesel engine by using a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The petrol engine can be sourced from the Nexon.

Tata H7X

Expected launch time: 2019

The Tata H7X will be the new flagship of the brand and it has been caught testing on the Indian roads already. The H7X will be a 7-seater SUV that will be launched in the Rs. 15-20 lakhs segment. The H7X is expected to look like a big version of the H5X and will get the same engine and transmission too. However, the engine will be tuned for more power to compensate for the heavy weight of the SUV. This will be the second SUV based on the Land Rover platform by Tata and will get AWD option for off-road enthusiasts.
